What can she say, she's the moon! I wanted to be an astronomer when I was a kid...until I realized math was hard. But I never stopped admiring the beauty of Grandmother Moon and counting the stars that surround her. She watches over me each night - like Luna used to help Bear in "Bear and the Big Blue House" (1997), my Luna guides me where I need to be and shows me that beauty can be found everywhere, even in the darkness.

I titled this work off the poem "I Am!" by John Clare from 1865 - he speaks of mental illness and the swirling of the mind, how he wished for peace in a loud world both outside and inside of himself. I was diagnosed with OCD when I was 18 - having felt the effects of it throughout my childhood. Today, I look at it as a gift - I will forevermore find the details lost to others in the things that surround me - and with the aid of my therapist, I have altered my very perception to present to you today, my story.

My Nana's house is one of my favorite places to be - that's where I was able to catch this little icicle melting away. I didn't mean to capture the little droplet at the end as perfectly as it had occurred - I looked back at the photos with my Nana afterwards, and we saw it! Sometimes spur of the moment actions can lead to great memories.
