Digital Photograph (Matte Print), 2023, 20 × 20 inches
The upside to life is that there is no right way in which to lead it – you need to follow your instincts and intuition. It is an adventure – even when it feels hard. In dealing with mental illness the majority of my life, I face the constant reminder that doubts, insecurities and anxieties plague the darkest corners of my mind. But I have the choice to find my own personal moments of joy and laughter. The “right lane” doesn’t look the same for everyone and in choosing to follow the path less traveled each day, I find more to love and learn about myself.
