Caterpillars are fabulous metaphors - eat, nest, grow, bloom, fly! But I'd never really LOOKED at a caterpillar until this pic - and they're so fluffy! He immediately reminded me of a little alien scouring the Earth for a meal - which of course consists of these greens. I imagine to a plant, he is quite ferocious with his little teeth and hooking arms. It's funny how we often take things at surface value - never considering what may truly be living inside the cocoon, ready to jump out!
